Product Description

The I-inductor features a copper core coil wound on a supporting skeleton. Inductance is an essential circuit property that generates electromotive force to resist current changes through electromagnetic induction.

Common I-inductors are considered vertical versions of axial inductors, offering similar convenience with larger volume capacity and improved current handling. Most utilize enameled wire wrapped directly around the skeleton, with magnetic cores (copper, iron) inserted into the inner cavity to enhance inductance. Skeletons are typically made from plastic, bakelite, or ceramic and can be customized to various shapes.
